How is Peritoneal Dialysis Administered? According to the National Kidney Foundation; “A catheter in the abdomen allows the dialysate (fluid and solutes) through the catheter. The blood stays in the arteries and veins and the excess of waste is drawn out of your blood and into the dialysate through the catheter.” |
