Hi, I’m Alison Jones, I need a Kidney Donor. Diagnosed at the age of 17, with Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) I have always been cognizant of my medical reality of needing a kidney transplant eventually.

My current renal function is 24%, my medical life has been accompanied with chronic pain, hypertension and a regression in renal function. My personal life has been filled with milestones of Blessings, Accomplishments, and Gratitude. I live each day as if it was my last and working to improve the lives of others is my personal mission statement.

The purpose of my blog is to inform, educate and demonstrate how self advocacy can lead to a Healthy Medical Future. I am a 44 year old African American Female and I am greatly aware that statistics demonstrate a disparity in organ donation amongst African Americans.

I want to share with the world how one voice, can raise awareness, cause action and provide a greater standard of living.

I pray you find my words informative, motivating and healing as you witness my “Journey of Hope”.

Big Smiles & Hugs,

Allie

Ms Allison, I am happy to see that God has utilized your “medical reality” as a “motivational tool” that fuels you to help others. I am proud to have met you along the journey. I shall continue to be in contact with you along this journey. I will occassionally provide the “food” (encouragement) that is needed.

Continue to “rise up and eat” for the journey ‘alone’ is too great for thee. (smile) 1 Kings 19:1-9, NIV

Hi Olivia, I apologize for the delayed response. I received your comment and forgot to note a reminder to respond. How is your husband now? What state do you live in?

I would appreciate all insight and assistance. I look forward to hearing from you.

      Regards,

      Allie
